Boxing and Weight Management? What’s that all about? As our CEO, Krista Conley, went from meeting to meeting this summer, visiting Vtrim alumni and connecting with individuals who had tried to lose weight, and failed, their words came rushing at her:
“I keep getting knocked down.”
“This is the toughest fight of my life.”
“I’ve gone up and down so many times, I can’t remember.”
“I need to lean on someone.”
On a gorgeous fall afternoon, as the sun was setting, Krista suddenly saw the connection between the very human sport of boxing and the very human effort it takes to lose weight. You need a coach, a wily expert, to help you “learn the ropes.” You need group support, from friends and family and from your classmates, folks that believe in you and show up for you. The trainer that whispers in your ear “You can do it!”
You need to “step into the ring” and “move those feet” and most of all, you need to believe that you can fight a good fight. And you can win. That’s what Vtrim is about. Our expert facilitator is your seasoned coach, always in your corner. Your fellow participants offer key group support, that keep your psyched and ready to move. Your food and fitness goals are personal to you, just like those for a boxer needing to maintain his weight. And while you might get knocked down a few times, we’re all here to help you get up, stand up and reach your healthy weight goals.
